Abstract

Cooperative principles have been at the heart of cooperative identity since the origins of modern cooperativism. Under the guidance of the International Cooperative Alliance, they have been formulated with various emphasis and linked to cooperative values in the drafting of the Declaration on Cooperative Identity at the Manchester Congress in 1995. At the Alliance’s 33rd World Congress in Seoul in 2021, they were reinforced and oriented toward the major issues of our time.
