Ideological foundations of cooperative public policy in Costa Rica. Analysis of Rodrigo Facio's thinking and its impact on the 1940-1970 period
Abstract
The present article has as objective to analyze the ideological bases of the public politics driven in Costa Rica that has as a reference the cooperative movement, in the lapse between 1940-1970 included in the thoughts of Rodrigo Facio who was considered the main ideologue of Costa Rican cooperativism. This ideological bases are stated on the 64th article of the Costa Rican National Constitution from 1949, the Cooperative Associations Law as well as on the creation of the “Instituto Nacional de Fomento Cooperativo (Infocoop)” stated as the law number 4179 on August 22 1968 and its reforms.
